Sitara-o-Hilal Foundation invites passionate students, to create and submit a short film or documentary on the theme of “My COUNTRY My PRIDE” focusing on Pakistan Resolution Day. The aim of this competition is to raise awareness about the struggle of Pakistan and motivating patriotism in the youth of Pakistan.

Competition Themes

Submit an original film or documentary no longer than 10 minutes in duration on the theme of Pakistan Resolution Day

The competition is open to all students of Pakistan. Both individual and group submissions will be accepted.

Form: Fiction, Documentary, Docudrama, Musical or Family Video (Live-Action or Animation can be used. Title and end credits are mandatory)

Technical Requirements

  • All submissions must be in the horizontal format of at least standard HD (1280 x 720 pixels) encoded in H264 (.mp4, .mov). However, for better viewing quality, a full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) format is recommended.
  • Every video submitted must be a final edited product: rough-cuts will NOT be considered for the selection.
  • All submissions must include closing credits with the following information: name(s) of the filmmaker(s), any participant(s), and stakeholder(s)

Deadline

The last day to submit your film or documentary is 20th March 2021.

·         Mail your film on a USB or DVD at Sitara-o- Hilal Foundation, University of Management and Technology   UMT Road, Block C 11, Johar Town, Lahore Pakistan

Terms & Conditions

1.    In submitting your entry to the Sitara-o-Hilal Foundation, you agree to give a license to the SHF in Pakistan for its public screening, including distribution via various social media, digital, and web platforms.

2.    Entering the film competition does not guarantee that you will win a prize or derive any other benefit.

3.    The winners of the SHF Short Film and documentary competition is chosen by a jury of professionals
