SUMMARY:Quaid Week 2020
DESCRIPTION:Sitara Hilal Foundation believes in dedicating effort to the right causes upon which its foundation laid. Remembering why SHF was created\, “We envision to revive the spirit of patriotism in our youth with SHF. We are focused on bringing back the values Pakistan was founded upon by its Founder Ibrahim Hasan Murad\, Sitara Hilal Foundation celebrated Quaid Week 2020 from the 21st December to 24th December. Quaid day is an important event for all Pakistanis as it’s the birth date of the father of the nation\, thanks to him that Pakistan exists as a Nation on the globe today; hence it dedicated an entire week for its celebration. \n \n  \nDay 1: Marked the opening ceremony of the event\, Founder Sitara Hilal Foundation Mr. Ibrahim Hasan Murad joined the event as a chief guest and addressed the audience which consisted of individuals of all ages. In his speech\, Founder SHF quoted the Quaid and asked the audience to emphasize the ideal Muslim and Pakistani character. Furthermore\, he also took an oath from the audience to protect our country and its dignity as a Pakistani citizen. Day 1 hosted different segments of the program including the Mili Naghma & Debate competition\, allowing students of all ages to showcase their talent. Aoo Rang Karyn Team has started the Quaid portrait. Aao Rang Karyn’s team gave an introduction about what is Street Art and Street Arts concept in Pakistan. Activity is about to do an interaction with an audience and this whole project is to pay tribute to Quaid-i- Azam.ARK took inspiration from street arts used the stencil technique to create the Quaid-i-Azam portraits. \nStudents from different schools such as Adabistan-e-Soophia\, Allied School\, The Punjab School\, Pak Turk School\, UMT Symphony Club\, UMT Students\, University of Education Student\, AOO Rang Karyn team\, UMT Debating Club\, and SHF  Volunteers. The event was successfully concluded with the Manager SHF expressing her gratitude and presenting a souvenir to Founder SHF. \n\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\n  \nDay 2: The second day of the 4-day event was commenced by a special guest Former Air Commodore Mr. Khalid Chishti. The lecture was insightful yet interesting as the former commodore shared his experiences with the audience which particularly caught the attention of senior UMT staff members. The topic of his lecture was “The Untold and Unseen of Mr. Jinnah.” The session revolved around unseen facts and aspects of Jinnah’s life\, both professional and personal which showcased the rare side of Quaid’s personality not many Pakistanis know of. The session was overall quite attention-grabbing as the speaker’s energetic persona made it very interactive. \n\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\nDay 3: The activities of the day mostly dedicated to the performances of our rising youth. For this day we had a very special guest who can proudly be called the fame of Pakistan\, Mr. Haseeb Pasha\, more popularly known as Hamoon Jadugar from the famous Pakistani drama “Ainak Wala Jin.” Mr. Haseeb Pasha was invited to judge the performances for the day. UMT and UCP were invited to perform on our given theme of the week which was Quaid Ka Pakistan. All of the teams gave their best and left the audience appreciating and wanting more. \n\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\n  \nDay 4: Whereas\, the fourth day\, being the last day held the closing ceremony. Two notable guests\, Senior TV artist & a well-known personality Mr. Khalid Butt along with the highly applauded singer Sajjad Haider were invited to enhance our celebrations with their presence. Major highlights of this day included closing performances that were materially benefited for\, and a Certificate distribution ceremony for all participants\, including the SHF volunteers. Certificates were distributed by our guests\, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony. The cake-cutting ceremony symbolized love for Quaid and the country\, as all the audience collectively recited a prayer for him afterward. Aoo Rang Karyn team completed the Quaid portrait  The ceremony ended with Manager Miss Sadaf Zubair presenting gift souvenirs to guests both as a symbol of appreciation and their esteemed presence in our event. \n  \n\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\nSpecial Thanks to UMT Faculty members\, Prof Dr. Rahat ul Ain\, Prof Dr. Mumtaz Akhtar\, Prof Dr. Lodhi\, Prof Dr. Shariqa Nasreen\, Associate Prof  Dr. Munaaz Shahid\, and other staff members who spared time out of their busy schedule to attend SHF Quaid week activities. DESCRIPTION:Kashmir: Ground Reality\, Indian Thinking\, and International thinking”\nThe webinar was organized by Sitara Hilal Foundation.  Participants speakers in Webinar were:  Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai Secretary-general World Kashmir Awareness Forum\, as a keynote speaker\, Saiyyed Abdullah Gilani Official representative of Syed Ali Geelani\, Mr. Ibrahim Hasan Murad President UMT/ SHF\,  Ghulam Mohiuddin Dewan President PTI Lahore\, and Azad  Kashmir’s Member Legislative Assembly (MLA)\, Professor Rahat Ul Ain\, School of Governance and Society\,  Assistant professor Faqia Ibrahim\, School of law and policy\, UMT and Advocate High Court\,  Nasir Qadri Human Right Lawyer IOJK and Director of International Advocacy group Legal Forum for Kashmir and  Sheikh Waleed Rasool Ph.D. Scholar and Director General at Institute of Multi-Track Dialogue\, Development\, and Diplomatic Studies. Ahmed Quraishi who is Executive Director   YFK-International Kashmir Lobby Group assisted Webinar as moderator.  \n  \nDr. Ghulam Nabi Fai has enlightened the issue of Kashmir: Ground Reality\, Indian Thinking\, and International Understanding. He appealed to Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Imran Khan to raise his voice in the international community that Kashmir and Kashmiri people should be given their right of self-determination according to UNO. Dr. Fai condemns the Indian parliament act of expansion of Kashmir into India. Dr. Fai quoted Martin Luther King quote “We (Kashmiri) will remember not the words of our enemies\, but the silence of our friends”. \n  \nMr. Abdullah Gillani stated that Kashmiri diplomacy has failed to raise the awareness on the World forum that India is an occupying force. While the World response to Indian aggression of 5 Aug 2019 has been like it is India’s internal affair ignoring the UN resolutions on Kashmir. Security Council and World powers are completely ignoring the Indian brutalities on Kashmir freedom fighters. \nFurther Ph.D. Scholar Sheikh Waleed Rasool stated Kashmiri people are fighting for freedom from Indian occupation and it is not a mere struggle for civil rights. \n  \nGhulam Mohiuddin Dewan President PTI Lahore and Azad Kashmir’s Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) said we should think about the Kashmiri people lives in the current grave circumstances which are very important because after the ceasefire in Kashmir\, 2 or three Kashmiri’s die every day in Kashmir \n  \nMr. Ibrahim Hasan Murad believes that the Kashmir issue will be resolved by the Young Generation who has the capability to think out of the box. The Kashmir problem has to be presented on the global Forums as Kashmiri youth is spread all over the Globe by demonstrations out in front of the international agencies to raise awareness against the Indian claims. \n  \nFull Video has uploaded on SHF YouTube

SUMMARY:Iqbal Day Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Sitara O Hilal Foundation celebrated the birth of our National Poet Allama Iqbal at the UMT campus today. The event\, titled Iqbal Day 2021\, was done in collaboration with UMT Iqbalian Society\, International Iqbal Society\, IECP and Aao Rang Karen. The event had various segments\, many of which included Bait Bazi\, Poetry Recitation and Speeches on the theme “Allama Iqbal.” \nThe event was celebrated with full zeal; having invited different guest speakers who were renowned in their own fields\, the audience thoroughly enjoyed every segment. Among the guests were Mr. Shamsi Zahid Shamsi\, Ms. Yasmin Bokhari\, Dr. Ijaz Yousaf & Mr. Zaid Hussain. \nDifferent participants and volunteers from all over Pakistan joined us for the event and participated in activities like singing\, speeches & bait bazi. Individuals from Ilm O Hunar Foundation also joined us and competed in Bait Bazi competition opposing the UMT Iqbalian society.\nAao Rang Karyn creates an installation on “ Iqbal thoughts with glowing poetry “.\nManager SHF has distributed the certificate to all the participants. \nEvents Highlights: \n \n\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\n
